LATE SHOWS

Initium is an ongoing collaborative project with photographers Caroline Briggs and Kelly Atkinson (The Twins). The series of images was previewed in an exhibition at Ouseburn Studio for The Late Shows 2023.

Designing with flowers and plants is ultimately about capturing a sense of place and time. The arrangements for Initium were created and photographed on a single day in the first week of May. The tulips were in full bloom and the cow parsley was just emerging as the blossom faded. It would have been impossible to recreate these images even a week later as by then the garden and hedgerow offerings had moved on with the season and changed completely. The collaboration will continue to document ephemeral moments in time reflected in flowers.
